Easter

Saturday, after the zoo, we had dinner and an Easter Egg hunt in the backyard.  Jack and Henry were over loaded with eggs. It was so funny to watch them get so excited.  When they first started, Jack let out a huge scream because he was so excited.  We got excited for the Adult Egg Hunt, created by my mom.  It was great fun!

True to tradition, Brad put an egg on the back of their pet turtle.  Henry thought it was hillarious.

We came back inside to check out our loot.  A little candy and lots of coins.  Alex provided the many eggs with the dollar bills.  Sure was a fun time! I love hunting for eggs!

Los Angles Zoo

In March, we took a quick (Arrived Friday evening, left early Sunday morning) to California to spend Easter Weekend with the McMullin Family.  It was an adventure that is for sure.  We left Utah in a huge snow storm and almost died on the freeway in the Crown Vic from a truck with a trailer behind us nearly able to stop without hitting us.  Luckily we arrived safely and Dad was driving or I would surely have turned around.

We arrived and had a great visit with Jeff and Melanie and the boys.  The next morning, we woke up, gave Alex and Jeff hair cuts and finally decided on going to the zoo.  Bummer was it took 1 hour and 30 minutes in the car because of traffic to get there because everyone else and their dogs decided to go too.   Finally we got into the zoo and it was hot! Man, I wasn't ready for an 80 degree day.  However we really enjoyed seeing some animals.

Enjoying the LA Zoo!

Jack couldn't see from the stroller, so we carried him most of the time.
Checking out the flamingos....

Can you tell Jack was hot???

Henry, with rosy cheeks making a squished penny.

Enjoying the Giraffes.

BYU Basketball Game

Alex's Parents and Spencer came to town and took us to a BYU Basketball game.  Prior to the game, we went to lunch at Brick Oven (it was so yummy, as always).  After, we did a bit of shopping and then we arrived early to  the game.  We saw the cool opening thing where the white sheets come down and the players are announced.  The game wasn't very close which made it less exciting, however, it was fantastic to spend a little time with them, cheering on our Cougars.

Jill's Birthday

We celebrated Jill's Birthday at our apartment.  It was really fun! We had dinner, cake and even played some Quirkle a fun game.  Happy Birthday!

We didn't even mean to but we created a perfect square.  It's nearly impossible we though, yet with three first time players we did it:)  Thanks for playing!
