Pie Night

Genie Lamb, My old MTC supervisor, and her mother are amazing cooks.  She promised to teach Gloria, Deborah, and me to make pies one night.  Finally the night arrived.  Not stopped by a rock shattering her back car window, Genie and Grandma Lamb came and taught us to make flaky crusts and jumble berry pie filling.  It was so much fun to learn all the secrets!

Genie, hard at work doing the dishes I told her needed to be left in the sink dirty.  She insisted otherwise.  Hopefully, next will be chocolates!

Jill's Birthday

We celebrated Jill's Birthday at our apartment.  It was really fun! We had dinner, cake and even played some Quirkle a fun game.  Happy Birthday!

We didn't even mean to but we created a perfect square.  It's nearly impossible we though, yet with three first time players we did it:)  Thanks for playing!

Alex's 1st Hair Cut at Our Apartment

Alex prefers me to cut his hair.  I think it really is just that he likes me touching his head and hair, but he says it is the cost of getting someone to cut it that prevents a Great Clips or wherever to do it.  However, we don't have a cape so he stuffed himself in a garbage bag.  It took so long he started to seriously sweat and overheat.

New Apartment

We moved in to our apartment just before we got married.  Only Alex was sleeping here though, don't worry.  It was a lot of work to get everything settled even after we got back from our Honeymoon/Christmas excursion.  We enjoyed, however, making this old, plain apartment into a home.

Mr. Tool man.  He put our new entertainment center together in a jiffy :)

I married a determined, hardworking man.  He wouldn't quit til it was finished.

 So much stuff!!!

 Organizing the wedding gifts.

The funniest thing that happened was when we were laying on our bed thinking about how much we had done that day.  Alex had his hoes on still and I told him, "You can't put your shoes on our bed."  He looked at the bottoms of my feet and replied, "You can't put your feet on our bed." I looked down and this is what they looked like.  YIKES! All from our "professionally cleaned" carpet.
